David is a young man trying to escape a dark past, created by his father abandoning him as a child. Leaving a stint in prison, he is contacted by his dying father and given one final task to do for him - to spread his ashes when he passes. Eager to live a life without being in his dad's shadow, David agrees. But, when the ashes are stolen by a one night stand, David takes it upon himself to find his father's remains, embarking on a journey that will take him to his darkest point and beyond to discover the truth...
This is what you get with Mind's Eye, this and a whole lot more. I personally had the pleasure to view this film, it's one badass ride!
The film is an independent film by Mark Atkins, who really shines on the directing chair. He shapes together a cleverly crafted story, with a few surprises along the way.
I had a chance to ask Mark Atkins if he had any words of wisdom for aspiring filmmakers and he had this to say, "Write what you want to say, then rewrite it to say what you mean. There's a first time for everything, so enjoy it, mistakes and all. That's what the next time is for."
A digital copy will be released very soon (maybe even a week or two) so be on the look out!
